Orthodontic Specialist in La Porte, IN: Is All Orthodontic Treatment the Same?

Choose the Right Professional with Advice from our Orthodontic Expert

Look for an Orthodontist with Credentials

When it comes searching for an orthodontic specialist in La Porte, IN, for orthodontic treatment, our expert stresses the importance of choosing a professional with the correct education and credentials. Orthodontists are dentists who undergo an additional two to three years of education after dental school. They go through extensive training on jaw function, tooth movement, and how they work together to become experts in the field and gain the knowledge necessary to provide you with a straight, healthy smile.

Choose an Experienced Orthodontist

Because earning a degree isn’t enough, our orthodontic expert also suggests looking at experience when choosing a professional. An experienced orthodontist should be able to provide you with examples of their work. Before and after pictures are great tools to gauge the ability of an orthodontist. They should also be able to show you upfront what your teeth will look like after treatment. Orthodontic treatment is important and if you’re working with a professional who can’t provide you with these items, then we recommend looking at other options.

Fryar Orthodontics took our family in after another Dr closed down, leaving my middle son still in braces with no game plan or refund despite being paid in full. They were so kind to us and made sure that his teeth were completely corrected and not just fast track him out the door. They also took care of my youngest son and we couldn’t be happier with the results. All three of my boys have went through the process of braces but my youngest whose experience was 100% at Fryar from start to finish was the smoothest. Thank you Fryar for all you’ve done for us! The community is lucky to have you.

***I’m editing my review as my initial bad experience over the phone was addressed promptly and with care. They even squeezed me in the next day to help take care of my unraveling retainer so that it was no longer poking me. Thank you Monica! I really felt that she cared and was disappointed that I did not have a good experience initially. I will not my previous experience stop me from coming back for my future permanent retainer needs. ***I’ve never experienced customer service as rude as the person that answered the phone when I called at 8:19 AM on Tuesday, July 28th.I had my braces done here many years ago, probably 20. Last night, my top permanent retainer messed up and has been stabbing me behind my front teeth.I panicked and set up an appointment online for Wednesday at Michigan City, but then noticed that the Laporte office is open on Tuesdays so I called as soon as they opened. The girl that answered the phone was so condescending and argued with me the entire time.First she kept going on about how the appointment I booked online was for a consultation, I told her that there was no place for a note or anything and it didn’t get me any options. It also said nothing about a consultation when I booked it. She talked to me like I was a complete idiot. I finally said can you help me with my retainer or not? Then she proceeded to talk about the price like she was trying to talk me out of it and then told me I could just get them removed. I told her I don’t want it removed I want it fixed. Then she said that she couldn’t get me in until next week. So I’m just supposed to be in pain until then? She recommended I try clipping it myself, are you serious? If it weren’t for your rude staff I would be more than glad to wait until next week but you will never get my business or any money from me again.
